First-ever Bengali Literature Festival and Book Fair to be held in Dhaka in October

The Bangladesh Publishers and Booksellers Association, in collaboration with the Booksellers’ Guild of Kolkata, is organizing the first Bengali Literature Festival and Book Fair in Dhaka.

The decision was made during a meeting of Bangladeshi and Indian publishers at the Bangladesh Publishers and Booksellers Association office in Dhaka on Thursday. The festival will honor the rich history of Bengali literature and encourage individuals from different countries to share their tales and learn from one another.

The Bengali literature festival and book fair will take place from October 27 to November 3. Discussions featuring renowned authors, scholars and literary enthusiasts from both sides of the border will also be included. About 15-20 publishers from Kolkata are expected to attend.

The goal of the Bengali literature festival and book fair is to provide a platform for literature enthusiasts worldwide to come together and share their love for literature.
